Currently, CPDMH requires more than 100 pieces of patient care equipment totalling approximately $2 Million. Individual pieces of life-saving equipment can range from $2,500 to $200,000 EACH. This equipment will be used throughout the hospital, including in the new Emergency Department.
Many people are surprised to learn that the provincial government does not fund medical equipment for hospitals. That is where our campaign comes in. Together, we will ensure that the amazing CPDMH team has the tools they need to care for you.
Patient care equipment will enhance care throughout the hospital:
- Emergency Department
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Ambulatory Care
- Medical Surgical Unit
- Operating Room
- Physiotherapy
