received some enquiries regarding the election signs that are posted around the
perimeter of the hospital. We are
pleased to share some details provided by the Town of Carleton Place. According to the town bylaws, there is a setback around the perimeter of the hospital-owned property that is considered public property. Candidates who have posted election signs are using this public space, which is allowed.
We respect and appreciate all the candidates who have put their name forward in this year’s election and look forward to working collaboratively with those who are chosen to serve our local communities. The presence or absence of a candidate’s sign on this public space should not be interpreted as a statement by the hospital.
Posting of election signs on hospital property beyond the public setback is not permitted.
